I can not believe tomorrow is New Year's Eve already! I hope everyone had a happy and merry christmas. I had a great time hanging out with family and friends and was fortunate enough not to get sick. It seems that a lot of people got sick this holiday season :( To those who did get sick, I hope you are feeling better. It does make you think of the steps to take to ensure you
stay in great health.
I know most people today are thinking and evaluating their current situation and coming up with ways to
improve your quality of life for 2009 and onward. It is a great opportunity to set up some reachable goals for yourself for the up and coming year. Instead of thinking, "I need to lose all this weight," you should tell yourself, "I'm going to lose five pounds." This way it seems a lot more manageable than say twenty pounds. Lose the first five and take it from there!
Happy New Year! Make it one to remember :)

I can not believe there are only two days until Christmas! I have some more shopping to do too.Ahhh! I also need to get the rest of the ingredients I need for Christmas day dinner. I am going to make roast pork with baked apples. I made it last year and it is very yummy. We have 12 people coming but everyone is able to bring something to contribute so that makes it a lot easier.
I have been researching for new recipes the last week and found some great sites with a variety of recipes. The sites I have come across and like are food network, recipezarr, and all recipes. They are all free and easy to navigate through. They all have variety of different appetizers, sides, entree's, desserts, and drink receipes to browse through. I also like how you can search by ingredients. I am only going with the ones that were rated and reviewed so I know people actually tested them out.
What's your favorite holiday food or drink?

I do not have a lot of time to go from store to store christmas shopping this year to find the best deals so I did some research to find great deals on Wii games and was very happy to find all the online sales going on for video games. We have 3 nephews and a niece that love to play wii and playstation 2. Walmart is having an online special were you can get two games for $30! I was very happy because now we can get each of them a game instead of getting one for them to share. They are pretty pricey games but so much fun to play so it is worth it. I would like to have a wii for myself one day...after the price comes down..lol :) The wii fit games have been getting great reviews.

I can not believe it is only two weeks until Christmas! I still need to do a lot of
shopping. I only got two presents so far. Time goes by way to quick during the holidays. There are so many parties or holiday events we need to attend as well. Hopefully the weather returns to normal soon. It is too weird when it gets to sixty degrees in the middle of December here in NJ. We also have not had too much sun lately which kills my energy level. I feel like I could sleep all day!
Decorating keeps the spirits up though. We got our
Christmas tree this past weekend and had fun putting on the ornaments and tinsel while listening to some
classic holiday tunes. I like to get the rest of the house decorated all at once but there was not enough time this year. We should have it all done by this weekend, I hope ;) We will be hosting Christmas Day this year so that should be fun :) Please share how you are spending your holidays.

I am so excited I finished my web design class. I had to give up a lot of Saturday mornings but I feel it was worth it. I learned how to create a basic website using
Dreamweaver and Flash. I also incorporated what I was learning in my photoshop class to create the designs I wanted.
For our final class, we all had our own websites we created through out the semester to share. I decided to create a site for our family. The pages include family members, family recipes, family picture albums, and an "in memory of" page. I even created a tree that grows while the seasons change using Flash. Once I upload it to a server I will post the link.
