We had a great father's day celebration this past weekend. My husband along with my two brothers, my husband's brother-in-law, and one of my best friend's husband all celebrated as daddies-to-be! They are so happy and excited. I got my husband a rock and roll shirt with a matching onsie from cafepress.com...too cute. My friends found out they are having a boy! We won't found out what we are having until July 1st. It is only a week away at this point so we are super excited. I hope to have a girl and a boy one day and so does my husband so we will be very happy with whatever sex the baby is :)
I can't not believe we are 1 week away from being 5 months already. We are half way there! I feel a lot better but also realize I can not be as active or be on my feet as I am used to being but I'm grateful that is all I have to go through right now.

I celebrated my first Mother's Day this past Sunday! We told the world we are expecting a baby on November 19th, 2009. We are so excited. What is even better about this news is that both of my older brother's wives are expecting, my husband's sister, and one of my best friends are all pregnant! Our baby will have many playmates and we will have a strong parent support group which keeps our nerves at rest ;) I can not wait to find out if it is a boy or girl. I will have to wait until the end of June or beginning of July when I will be 20 weeks pregnant. I was feeling sick and tired but I am starting to feel better in my 2nd trimester. I pretty much just get really tired at night so I can not go out as much. Hopefully that will fade soon too. I do not like when I can not do that much.

I can't believe it is May already and we have been in our first house for two years! Hopefully this rain ends in time for the weekend. We are celebrating my husband's birthday and Mother's Day. Either way I am happy it is warmer out and my flowers are starting to bloom. I planted some herbs already and I want to plant some veggies. We tried to grow different kinds of vegetables from seed last year but only a couple of plants made it. The tomatoes were especially successful. I think I am just going to get some plants this year. I don't have the time to do it from seed this year and I think its already to late to start if I actually want to enjoy what is harvest this summer ;) I would like to try to grow some eggplant and some type of berry this year. I wish we could grow an avocado tree but our winters are too cold.

I went out with some girlfriends over the weekend I have not seen in such a long time. We were fortunate enough to get gorgeous weather. We all met in Red Bank at the restaurant Red. We were lucky to get our own private section for most of the dinner. We felt so comfortable that we later realized we were sitting at the table for two and a half hours! The food was excellent. Everyone was satisfied. I had the filet mignon and it was very tasty.
After dinner we hit up The Downtown across the street for after dinner drinks and music. We were happy to find out there was a band playing upstairs. The band was called Daddy Pop and they were great. They were kind of like a wedding band. They had all of us dancing. It was such a great night everyone was thanking me for organizing it. Hopefully we can all get together soon. I can not wait till it stays warmer to have some BBQ's.

I heard on the news today that on the show Britian's Got Talent, where aparently Simon Cowell is also a judge, a 47 women got her singing debut. When Susan Doyle got on stage people were weary of her talent and of course Simon had to try to bring her down. She never quavered and appeared confident of her singing ability. She sang I Dream a Dream from the show Les Miserables. Everyone started cheering. She sounded amazing. She could definitely get a broadway gig if she really tried. She seemed like a real character too. You can watch Susan Doyle's perfomance on youtube.

I mentioned before that I have been to Trinity in Keyport for drinks and dancing but did not dine there. My husband took me there to eat this past weekend and the food was pretty good. I had a dish that was similar to chicken franciese. It was ok, the portions were big but I always enjoy leftovers anyway :) My husband got a spicy seafood dish. It was really good. The service was really good as well. The only complaint was the appetizers. We ordered empanadas and for the price you think you would get a decent portion but we only got two! Good thing it was only us! We didn't stay for the music this time but they usually have some great jazz and swing bands that come through. I think I rather go there for the entertainment than the food. I am picky eater ;)
