5 more days til Christmas and still so much to do! We are hosting Christmas day this year so I am still trying to figure what main dish to make. I pretty sure I am going to go with a pork loin dish with baked apples. I made it a couple years ago and made apple cider gravy to go with it and it delicious. I'm thinking of throwing in some cranberries this time and some orange zest.
I have a new slow cooker so I would love to be able to cook it in there if its big enough. We will have 9 adults so I still have to figure out how many pounds of pork I would need as well. According to this tip sheet for serving enough meat per person I would get around 3 servings per pound of boneless pork loin so I guess a 4 lb roast should be good but I guess I can just ask the butcher to be sure.
