9 April 2009
I recently received an email from my Aunt with a picture of this memorial. It is called the teardrop memorial and it is located in Bayonne, NJ. It was a
gift from the Russians and it stands one hundred feet tall. It was dedicated in 2006 a couple years after the tragic 9/11 incident. I can not believe I haven't heard more about this because I live in NJ. I do not think they publized it too well. I want to go and take pictures of the sculpture myself one day soon since the weather is getting nicer. You can also view the Statue of Liberty from where it stands. Along the memorial are stones and plaques with names of those who died in the event. Even when I looked it up on the interenet there wasn't too much info about it. I wonder why it wasn't publicized more. Here is a
video of LeeAnn Rimes singing at the memorial.
