Once again I had another eventful weekend. To start we celebrated my friend's non pregnant bachelorette party/birthday party by surprising her with a girls night in New Brunswick. Her husband ordered a van and set everything up nicely. She was so surprised! We started the evening at Clydz which was a new
restaurant and martini bar for the lady of the hour as well as me to try out. Before we even got to look at the food menu we were awestruck with how many martini choices there were. There must have been over fifty of them! I tried the the destroyer. It was very refreshing martini made of a splash of green tea and lemonade with stoli citrus and fresh cucumbers. The food was very good as well. I had a roasted chicken dish that was very juicy and tasty. I also tasted antelope meat for the first time. It was a very lean meat and reminded me of pork and we were told by the waitress that is most like venison. I have not tried venison yet but I have been told that it does taste good. The birthday girl orderd the duck and that was tender and yummy as well :)
After dinner we walked down the street to go
dancing at club Perle. We were excited to learn we just made the eleven 'o clock cut off to get in free. The club was decorated very nicely and had a very sophisticated but comfortable vibe. The DJ was very good and we were up dancing in no time. We did not stop until closing time. I really liked this lounge because we actually had room to dance which is hard to find these days ;)
