Our first green bean stalk is over five feet tall now! We are very excited that our garden is starting to produce some yummy veggies!I couldn't believe how quickly it has grown. The plant started to wrap itself around our fence so luckily the previous home owners left behind some metal plant holders we could stack up for the stalk to wrap itself around.I have been told that some grow up to 10 feet tall. I wonder how long it takes for the bean to produce? I read that when they are as thick as a pencil and firm enough to be "snapped" that it is a good time to start pickin'!
